I completed my professional training at WPF Therapy, which is recognised as one of the UK's leading training institutions with a reputation for clinical and academic excellence.
I have an Advanced Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling and Psychotherapy from WPF and a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychodynamic Studies from the University of Roehampton.
I am registered with the Counselling Directory and I am a member of The Foundation for Psychotherapy and Counselling (FPC) and British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I am also registered with the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC) representing the psychanalytic and psychodynamic sector of psychotherapy.
How I work
I work from a psychodynamic and psychoanalytical perspective. This approach aims to help you explore and understand the less obvious, unconscious aspects of your thoughts, feelings and behaviour. Often, problems and distress in the present may be related to experiences earlier in our lives. Understanding this can help you clarify your feelings and decide the best way forward.
I work on an open-ended basis or for an agreed time period, with the aim of enabling you to enhance your life and live it more fully. We can discuss this further at the initial consultation.
My other work:
In addition to my private practice I work as a Psychotherapist in a London Prison. I have clinical experience in various mental health settings, including working as a counsellor at WPF Therapy and in a GP surgery.
Prior to training as a therapist, I worked for 20 years as a family lawyer.
